Processes from digital lineart to color (colour)
Firstly I am So Happy to see the amount of page views this little blog has gotten this year.
I am motivated to keep improving and as an example here is The revisited Design for the Lion Queen. I posted the rough illustration way back(image below) and was unhappy about how her face turned out, so after a continuous practice, trials and errors I have Managed to come up with a more desirable outcome.
Original illustration Circa: 21-06-2014
Lion Queen was a daughter of a traveling hunter who was cursed after her father killed an ancient African spirit "The Golden Lion."
THANK YOU!!!

Sketching and Color Test
So my comic book style is coming together nicely, Now i just have the colours to figure out.
The problem is once I scan it in and adjust the levels I lose some of the detail and on top of that the grain muddies the image. Once i find a good alternative or process to assure a desirable outcome.
Scanned Lines
Terrible colors, not happy with this but gives me something to think about and improve upon.

Sorry for my absence with updating my blog. I have been hard at work with many projects as well as commissions. Recently I have been pushing myself to get better and work harder to where i was to be both as an artist plus as a person. Things are tough but being positive though some difficult shit really helps focus me on my goals.
Here are some prints that i sold at the LegionInk Artist Alley at the rAge Expo 2014.

Character Exploration & Color Test - COMIC BOOK
SPOILER ALERT!!!
This is definitely premature, but I Though it's best to show my characters for the comic book project that I am working on. At present I am still piecing together the story and plot. Most times its best to work the story first, then the characters, but in this case I kinda knew what my characters looked like and their nuances. Personality is very important to me when designing a character, you need to understand them and have a piece of yourself in whatever you make or create in this case I will just give a brief summary which at this moment in development is not set in stone.Helena is the oldest of the two sisters she is refined and elegant, proper in a sense of demeanor. The girls are daughters of an Emperor so Helena takes her role as being a member of a high honor to her world.
On the other hand Ria has a sense of indifference to her role. Being of noble or high honor she's treated differently, she is needed to be refined and proper of which she is not. She is quite the opposite.
(That would be all for now. But I will mention a bit about the image below.)
Through the course of the story, characters evolve and change. Of which I have given everyone a huge spoiler regarding the hair, which will explain in my comic/GN.

These roughs are really bad, but it's good to show processes... Even if it's embarrassing.
The character's appearance is subject to change and alteration, the images portrayed here are preliminary images and do not reflect the characters to their entirety.

Comic Book Character Test
It's been a while since I have posted anything and I figured I post something that I am currently working on. This is a test painting I have done a while ago, I wanted a quick painterly feel to my comic so I roughed the test out and posted it to obtain feedback. I hope you like it.
